Update from the Pastoral Staff

Greetings!

As many of you know, this past Sabbath, October 14, was the last Sabbath for Pastor John Anderson as the Senior Pastor at Mentone. We will certainly miss both Pastor John and Sandy and pray they will have a smooth transition to San Marcos.

During our board meeting on Sunday, October 15, a Pastoral Search Committee was formed to fill the Senior Pastor role. You will hear more about the progress of this team as they begin their work next week.

Also, on Sunday, Pastor Guilherme Borda officially began his assignment as Associate Pastor. His primary responsibilities will be visitation, pastoral oversight of the Healthy Life Center, leading Wednesday night prayer meetings, teaching the Revelation Sabbath school class, and ministering to families with young children.

Pastor Nathanael Cincala will continue as our youth Pastor with a special focus on youth ages 13-25. We are very excited about how our young people are growing in the knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ and their passion for sharing the Three Angels' Messages with the world.

Pastor Rodney Bowes will continue to serve as Associate Pastor and provide administrative support, working with our church leadership to ensure well-planned worship services, chairing various committees, and helping the church departments work together to fulfill the goals in our Strategic Plan - I Will Go.

All three of these pastors will be involved in preaching, teaching, visitation, and counseling.

Pastor Dan Skoretz continues to serve part-time with a primary emphasis on visitation.

Samuel Florian continues to serve part-time as our Spanish ministries coordinator.
