April 20: The Wisdom of Creation

April 20: The Wisdom of Creation
Scripture: "But now ask the beasts, and they will teach you; and the birds of the air, and they will tell you..." — Job 12:7
Even the animals possess a "wisdom" that points back to their Creator. From the migration of birds to the intricate social structures of bees, we see the hand of a God who values order, cooperation, and preparation. Nature is a vast classroom where Truth is taught through observation and reflection.
Consider the ant—a tiny creature that demonstrates the value of industry and foresight. It doesn't need a "commander" to tell it to work; it is moved by an internal design to prepare for the future. As humans, we are called to a similar "spiritual industry"—diligently preparing our characters for the coming of the King.
Creation also teaches us about God's provision. "Look at the birds of the air... your heavenly Father feeds them." If God cares for the smallest sparrow, how much more does He care for you? This Truth should banish anxiety from our hearts. Love is the provider, and Truth is the promise that He will never leave us nor forsake us.
Today, look at an animal or a bird with fresh eyes. What lesson of "instinctive wisdom" can you learn from it? Let the simple trust of creation inspire a deeper trust in your own heart. You are part of a world that is held together by the Word of His power.
Reflection Questions:
What "instinctive wisdom" have I observed in nature recently?
Does my life reflect the "industry" and "preparation" God desires?
How does the "provision for the birds" help me deal with my current financial or emotional worries?
