April 30: The Unchangeable Promise

April 30: The Unchangeable Promise

Scripture: "Thus God, determining to show... the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath." — Hebrews 6:17

We end the month as we began—anchored in the Truth. God’s promises are "unchangeable" (immutable). He is not like "shifting shadows"; He is the "Same yesterday, today, and forever." When He makes a promise, He "cannot lie." This is the "anchor of the soul," reaching into the "inner sanctuary" of the presence of God.

"Love is the basis of godliness," and "Truth is the anchor of faith." Throughout this month, we have seen how these two "pillars" support every aspect of our lives—our health, our relationships, our service, and our future. We can "hold on to the hope" that God will not change what He has promised.

As you look back on the month of April, take note of the "milestones of grace" you have encountered. How has God revealed His Love to you? How has His Truth set you free? These "lessons of the past" are the "building blocks" of your confidence for the future. You can trust the One who has "chosen you to be part of His family."

Tomorrow is a new month, but the "same God" will be there. Carry the "light of His countenance" into the days ahead. Remember that you are "loved with an everlasting love," "guided by the Spirit of Truth," and "destined for a Kingdom that will never end." Stay anchored in Him.

Reflection Questions:

What was the most significant "lesson of Truth" I learned this month?

How has my "experience of Love" (receiving and giving) grown in the last 30 days?

What "unchangeable promise" will I carry into the next month as my "anchor"?
