May 17: The "Plan B" of the Widow’s Mite

May 17: The "Plan B" of the Widow’s Mite
Scripture: "And He said, 'Truly I say to you that this poor widow has put in more than all...'" — Luke 21:3
In the "Economy of Heaven," God has a "Plan B" for our "limited resources." The "world’s Plan A" is about "quantity" and "wealth." But God’s "Plan B" is about "quality" and "sacrifice." He takes our "small offerings"—our "mites"—and "multiplies" their "impact" through the "Truth of His Power."
The widow had "lost" her "Plan A"—her husband and her security. She was living in a "Plan B" of poverty. But she "yielded" what she had to God. This is the "Radical Love" of the Gospel—that God values the "heart" more than the "hand." Our "Plan B" lives can have a "massive influence" if we "give Him our all."
"Generosity" is a "Health Principle" for the soul. It "frees" us from the "idolatry of possessions" and "opens" us to the "blessings of heaven." By "giving," we are "acting like God," who is the "Great Giver." This is the "Plan B" of "Abundant Living" in the midst of "scarcity."
Don't be "ashamed" of your "mite" today. Whether it's a "small amount of time," a "tiny bit of money," or a "modest talent," give it to Him. Trust that in the "Hands of the Master," your "Plan B" offering will be "more than all." You are "investing" in an "Eternal Kingdom."
Reflection Questions:
Do I feel "limited" by my "resources" (time, money, talent)?
How can I "yield my mite" to God today with "joy"?
What does it mean to "give more than all" in God's "Plan B" economy?
