Mission Matters August 11

2 Peter 1:2-4 - Grace and peace be multiplied unto you through the knowledge of God, and of Jesus our Lord, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue: Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

Ministry of Healing, 458.   “The whole Bible is a revelation of the glory of God in Christ. Received, believed, obeyed, it is the great instrumentality in the transformation of character. It is the grand stimulus, the constraining force, that quickens the physical, mental, and spiritual powers and directs the life into right channels. The reason why the youth, and even those of mature years, are so easily led into temptation and sin is that they do not study the Word of God and meditate upon it as they should.”

It is amazing what God is doing among the french speaking countries of Africa through Train Them to Fish Ministry and among the Mongolian people around the world through Uplifting Him Ministries.

Upcoming Mission Reports - Make plans to join us on Sabbath, August 24 at 2:30 pm as Intissar will share some amazing stories of how God is working among the Kurdish people in Lebanon.

Papers and books are the Lord's means of keeping the message for this time continually before the people. In enlightening and confirming souls in the truth, the publications will do a far greater work than can be accomplished by the ministry of the word alone. The silent messengers that are placed in the homes of the people through the work of the canvasser, will strengthen the gospel ministry in every way; for the Holy Spirit will impress minds as they read the books, just as He impresses the minds of those who listen to the preaching of the word. The same ministry of angels attends the books that contain the truth as attends the work of the minister. —Testimonies for the Church 6:315, 316.

This month’s emphasis is Cashiers & Carts! Give tracts to cashiers. There are a few simple things to say as you give the cashier a tract:

 - “Here is a little gift for you"
 - “This is something I read, and I think you’ll like it”
 - “This is for the help today!”

Make sure you also leave literature in your shopping carts as you leave the store, or put tracts on multiple carts!

• Go to state fairs and do mass distribution of GLOW.
• Go to stores and give “An Intelligent Faith” (AIF) to back-to-school shoppers.
