May 12: The Covenant of Peace

May 12: The Covenant of Peace

Scripture: "For the mountains shall depart and the hills be removed, but My kindness shall not depart from you, nor shall My covenant of peace be removed..." — Isaiah 54:10
In a world where everything seems to be "departing" and "removing"—where stability is rare—God offers a "Covenant of Peace." This is His "Plan B" for the human heart. It is the Truth that His "kindness" is more permanent than the mountains. He has committed Himself to our "Peace" through an everlasting agreement.

This "Covenant of Peace" was bought at the "Price of the Cross." Jesus is our "Prince of Peace," and His "Plan B" for us was to leave us His peace—"not as the world gives." This peace is not the "absence of trouble," but the "presence of God" in the midst of trouble. It is the "Anchor of the Soul."

Peace is also a "Health Choice." Stress and anxiety are "toxic" to our systems. By resting in the "Covenant of Peace," we are protecting our hearts and minds. This is the Love of God providing a "buffer" against the "chaos" of the world. We can be "quiet in the storm" because we are "safe in the Covenant."

Today, claim your "Peace." When the "mountains" of your life start to shake, remember the "Covenant." God’s "kindness" will not depart from you. Rest in the Truth that the Creator of the Universe is personally committed to your "inner tranquility."

Reflection Questions:

What "mountains" in my life are currently "shaking"?
How can I practically "enter into the Covenant of Peace" today?
Do I believe that God's "kindness" is more permanent than my "problems"?
