May 24: The "Plan B" of the Clay and the Seal

Scripture: "It [the earth] is turned as clay to the seal; and they stand as a garment." — Job 38:14

In ancient times, a "Seal" was pressed into "Soft Clay" to leave an "Impression" of "Ownership" and "Authority." This is the "Plan B" of the "Divine Image." Sin "marred" the "Image of God" in us ("Plan A"). But God’s "Plan B" is to "press His Character" back into our "softened hearts" through the "Truth of His Word."

The "Seal" is the "Law of God" written in our "hearts." As we "yield" to the "Holy Spirit," He "stamps" the "features of Christ" upon our "souls." This is the "Plan B" of "Character Restoration"—becoming a "Living Reflection" of the "Glory of God."

"Softening" is the "key." Hard clay cannot receive an impression. God uses "trials" and "Love" to "soften the heart." When we are "softened," we are "ready for the Seal." This is the "Love of God" in "Transformative Action"—making us "stand as a garment" of His righteousness.

Is your "heart soft" today? Are you "ready for the Seal"? Don't "harden your heart" against the "Truth." Yield to the "Press of the Spirit," and let the "Character of Christ" be "re-imprinted" on your "soul." You are being "sealed" for "Eternity."

Reflection Questions:
What "impression" is my life currently leaving on others?
How can I "soften my heart" today to receive the "Seal of God"?
Do I see my "character growth" as a "work of the Spirit"?
