June 3: The Testimony of Jesus

Chapter 3

Scripture Theme: "Then the dragon was enraged at the woman and went off to wage war against the rest of her offspring—those who keep God’s commands and hold fast their testimony about Jesus." Revelation 12:17

How anchored are you in the prophetic guidance given specifically to God’s end-time remnant church?

In a world drowning in conflicting voices and clever spiritual counterfeits, we cannot afford to guess our way forward. The Seventh-day Adventist movement was intentionally gifted with the Spirit of Prophecy to provide vital clarity, direction, and protection.

If we choose to ignore or minimize this prophetic gift, we leave ourselves completely exposed to spiritual drift. We lose our distinct sense of mission and quickly find ourselves swept away by the prevailing secular or compromised religious culture around us.

We are strictly warned about the consequences of neglecting this counsel: "There will be a hatred kindled against the testimonies which is satanic. The workings of Satan will be to unsettle the faith of the churches in them, for this reason: Satan cannot find so clear a track to introduce his deceptions" (*Selected Messages*, Book 1, p. 48).

The biblical framework identifies the "testimony of Jesus" as a defining mark of the final, historical remnant church. This prophetic lens does not replace the Bible, but rather acts as a smaller light that brilliantly illuminates the supreme authority of the Holy Scriptures.

Reflection Question 1: How often do you allow the specific, practical counsels of the Spirit of Prophecy to challenge and reshape your lifestyle choices?

Reflection Question 2: In what ways can you better integrate prophetic guidance into your daily study habits to guard against deception?
